General terms and conditions

General rental conditions for winter sports equipment

1.) Conclusion of contract

The rental agreement is concluded between the customer making the reservation (hereinafter referred to as the Hirer) and Ski Rental Schneider, Schanzenstraße 20, 59955 Winterberg (hereinafter referred to as Ski Rental Schneider), where the equipment is rented. The rental is exclusively subject to the following conditions:

2.) Booking

The rental price is to be paid completely online and can be done via PayPal. The prices are the "online booking prices" for the desired equipment or equipment category as shown on the website of Ski rental Schneider.

The booking becomes valid for the tenant with the online payment and the receipt of the booking confirmation; for the rental shop with the receipt of the booking confirmation

3.) Cancellation Policy / Cancellation

A cancellation of the booking is only possible due to illness, accident or other serious reasons (e.g. death of a close relative or accompanying relative). Cancellation must be notified in writing to Ski-Verleih Schneider. No refund will be given if the winter sports equipment is received late by the renter or cannot be accepted at all for any other reason. The same applies if the hirer returns the ski and/or snowboard equipment to the lessor prematurely. Unfavourable weather conditions or other hindrances beyond the control of ski rental Schneider do not entitle the customer to cancel the booking.

In case of injury or illness of the tenant during the rental period, the following regulation shall apply upon presentation of a medical certificate:

a) A refund of the rental price is only possible if the rental equipment is returned to the landlord immediately after the injury or illness has occurred.

b) If point a) is fulfilled, the excess rent paid will be refunded from the date of issue of the medical certificate to be presented. No refund is possible without a medical certificate.

c) As soon as Ski Rental Schneider is aware of an event and points a) and b) have been fulfilled, it will immediately transfer the rent already paid.

4.) Collection and return of equipment

In the rental business, the tenant must present an official photo ID (e.g. passport or driving licence) as well as his booking confirmation and agrees that a copy of this document will be made. Ski and/or snowboard equipment must be returned on the last day of the agreed rental period before the close of business. In the event of longer use of the ski and/or snowboard equipment, the difference between the rental period actually used and the reserved or paid rental period will be charged at the usual local rental conditions and is payable directly on site

5.) Insurance

In the event of theft, the tenant must report the theft to the responsible security authority within 24 hours and immediately report the theft to

Ski rental Schneider report and replace the loss.

If damage or destruction of the goods is caused by improper use, the customer is obliged to pay compensation

6.) Usage

The renter is fully responsible for the rented sports equipment and must only use it carefully in accordance with its function and conditions of use. If the sports equipment already has defects at the time of rental, the rental shop can replace the sports equipment or withdraw from the contract if it is unable to rectify the defect. The passing on of the sports equipment to third persons is not permitted. The renter must ensure that the skis are only stored individually and separately or in ski safes. During the night the sports equipment shall be stored in a locked ski room of the accommodation or in a locked motor vehicle

7.) Data protection

Personal data that you provide on this website will be processed and used exclusively for the processing of your enquiries or online reservations, in compliance with the applicable national and European regulations (data protection).
